The Mid -South Conference announced that University of the Cumberlands Chad Byron (Louisville, KY) has won the Player of the Week with his outstanding performances against Johnson Bible and Mountain State Colleges.

Byron helped the 11th ranked Patriots to a pair of wins this week and improved his team’s record to 5-0. On Monday, he scored 15 points for the Patriots as they routed Johnson Bible College, 111-29. Then against the NAIA’s 3rd ranked team in the country, Mountain State University, Byron scored 15 points and had 9 assists and 5 rebounds on the way to the win of 89-73.

On the week, Byron averaged 15 points, 3.5 rebounds and five assists per game. He shot 52.6% from the field.

Byron for the season is averaging 15 points per game which leads the team and is averaging 3.4 assists, which is third on the team. He is also shooting 54.8% from the field and 40% from the behind the arch.
