MIDWAY, Ky. - No. 20 Union College overcame a seven-point halftime to pull out an 80-75 victory at Midway (Ky.) College Tuesday, snapping the Lady Bulldogs' two-game losing streak.

With the win, Union improved to 5-3 overall while Midway dropped to 0-7.

In the teams' previous meeting, the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Eagles 98-57 on Nov. 7.

Brooke Smith (Pineville, Ky.) became just the second player in program history to score 1,500 career points. She led the team with 26 points, giving her 1,513 career points. Only Amber Spencer has scored more points as she tallied 2,273 points during her career.

Carley Blankenship (Lexington, Ky.) and Susanna Todd (Eubank, Ky.) each tallied 13 points, while Jessica Baker (Canmer, Ky.) netted 10 points.

Union travels to Pikeville (Ky.) College Saturday for a 2 p.m. tip.

Lady Bulldog Notes:

* Brooke Smith scored 20 or more points for the fourth time this season and the 37th time of her career.
* Union has played five games of its current six-game road trip, going 3-2 thus far.
* The Lady Bulldogs are 3-3 this season when trailing at halftime.
