HARROGATE, TN - On Tuesday evening, playing in their home-opener, the Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team cruised past NCAA Division II opponent Saint Joseph's College 99-67 to move to 2-2 on the year.

Inside play was a key factor in the Lady Railsplitter victory over the Pumas on Tuesday night. LMU placed five players in double figures and was led by junior forward Cena Nasiloski (Hammond, IN) who came off the bench to carry the offensive attack from the paint with 20 points on 9-12 shooting from the field and 2-3 free throws from the line. Lady Railsplitter center Andi Winney (Yorktown, IN) also had a strong night inside as she scored 18 points on 8-8 shooting from the field and 2-3 shots from the line.

Other players in double figures for the Lady Railsplitters were Sophomore Stephanie Wagner (Elkhart, IN), Whitney Vannoy (Harrogate, TN) and Kara Harris (Alcoa, TN). Wagner was 7-11 from the field for 16 points, while Vannoy hit three shots from the field and 7-7 from the free throw line for 13 points and Harris was 3-6 from behind the arc and 2-2 from the line for 11 points. Sophomore Megan Davis (Petersburg, IN) led LMU on the glass with 10 rebounds, while freshman point-guard Dayshalee Salaman (Carolina, Puerto Rico) handed out eight assists.

The Lady Railsplitters will practice Wednesday morning before taking Thursday off for the Thanksgiving holiday and returning Friday evening to prepare for Saturday afternoon's home match-up with Pfeiffer University. The LMU women and Pfeiffer square off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Tex Turner Arena.
