LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The University of Kentucky will replace
the artificial turf inside the Nutter Field House with FieldTurf,
the latest upgrade to the school's football facilities.
The installation should be completed by June. FieldTurf features
a base mix of sand and rubber particles that considered safer than
artificial turf. FieldTurf is already in use at more than 40 other
major colleges and universities.
Coach Rich Brooks said the change will make it "more conducive
to good practices."
