EF-2 Tornado Confirmed in Wayne County Save Email Print

A National Weather Service storm survey team has confirmed that an EF-2 tornado touched down in Wayne County Friday afternoon with winds near 130 mph. One well constructed mobile home was completely destroyed. Maximum path width of the tornado was 400 yards.

The tornado crossed into Wayne County from Clinton County along Pleasant Ridge Road at 1:50 pm, just 2 miles to the west northwest of the town of Zula. The tornado then maintained a continuous 7 mile long track east northeast before lifting 1.5 miles southwest of Monticello, near Furnace Mountain.

There was a tornado warning at Pulaski County then it turned into a severe thunderstorm warning then it went past Jackson County and became a tornado warning again so god blessed me. I do feel your pain whoever got hit with a tornado.
