WASHINGTON (AP) - Say goodbye to La Nina.

Government forecasters say the climate changer is coming to an end, and neutral conditions are expected into the fall.

La Nina is a cooling of water in the tropical Pacific. It's the opposition of a warm-water condition known as El Nino.

It can affect weather around the world.

The move to a neutral condition could help the East and Gulf Coasts. That's because the chances of the U.S. and the Caribbean seeing a hurricane are higher during La Nina.

The forecast notes that the effects of La Nina can linger in the atmospheric circulation, with diminishing strength.
