An investigation is underway this morning following an accident involving a state trooper leaves a man dead.

It happened about ten o'clock Sunday night on Highway 15 in Breathitt County near Carquest and the Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Offiicals say Trooper Michael Fogleman, from Morehead's KSP post, was driving to Hazard for a marijuana eradication detail when he hit a pedestrian on the road.

The victim is 38-year-old Kenneth Sizemore of Jackson, Kentucky.

Sizemore was transported to Kentucky River Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
