With a new school session beginning in Kentucky the Bluegrass Warhorses has decided to do something for our school community to help kick start the year, offering a $500 donation for one lucky school.
For the entire month of August, anyone who purchases Season Tickets can place a nomination for a local Central Kentucky school of any grade level. It can be one your child, grandchild, niece or nephew attends, one you feel deserves special recognition, or one you think could especially use the extra help. The school that gets the most nominations will receive a $500 donation from the Bluegrass Warhorses, a pizza party, and a special player appearance for a school assembly.
“We don’t want to be just another sports team; we want to be part of the Bluegrass in every way which means supporting the community. We’re hoping this raises awareness for the needs of some Central Kentucky schools,” says Eric Taylor, Co-owner and General Manager of the Bluegrass Warhorses.
“Ticket sales have been good. We saw this as a good means to get our fans involved in something, letting them nominate the school they feel deserves the donation instead of us choosing one,” explained Starr Williams, Ticket Manager for the Warhorses.
The Bluegrass Warhorses was founded by Eric Taylor and JaQuar Sanders in April of 2013 and is part of the CIFL, one of the longest running professional football leagues in the country. Their office is located at 137 E. Main Street in Georgetown, and the team will begin its Inaugural season in February 2014 at Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park. Season tickets are now available. For more information contact Starr Williams at email@example.com.
