CIFL Commissioner Rob Licht will be traveling to Lexington to officially welcome the Bluegrass Warhorses to the Continental Indoor Football League.
The press conference will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 10am in the Oak Room at the Crowne Plaza at the Campbell House.
The Bluegrass Warhorses’ mission is to provide indoor entertainment that is fun and affordable for the entire family. We are a fast-paced, hard-hitting, high-scoring, competitive professional football team with the will and determination to win championships. We are committed to being a member of the community by being involved with local schools and local non-profit organizations within Central Kentucky, i.e. Habitat for Humanity, The Wounded Warrior Project, Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Scott County Humane Society and MDA.
The Bluegrass Warhorses will play their home games in Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.
The CIFL was founded in 2006, entering its consecutive 9th year, and is currently the longest standing Professional Indoor Football League in the country.
“We wanted the CIFL because we wanted a league with stability and experience,” says team owner and General Manager Eric Taylor. “The league has been very supportive and extremely helpful, and we are very excited to be part of the legacy they have built.”
The 2014 season will kick off in early February.
