PULASKI, Ky (WKYT) – A fire broke out at Somerset Fuel on Friday morning, putting firefighters in a challenging situation.

The fire started around nine Friday morning. Workers say they noticed smoke coming from one of the silos that stores sawdust.

Firefighters had to use their aerial ladder truck to get into the silo and put out the flames.

Chief Tyler Jasper of the Somerset Fire Department tells WKYT, "It's out now but it is a possibility there is something smoldering in there. The company is trying to remove the actual sawdust from the storage tower. The company estimates it was about half full."

No one was hurt in the fire and production at the company was not affected.

The chief says he's not sure on what caused the fire.
