UPDATE: State Police find witness after fatal Danville hit and run

DANVILLE, Ky (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police say they have found a witness they had been looking for following a deadly hit-and-run crash.

On Friday night, police say the witness contacted them, and gave them some information they had been looking for.

However, police say they have not made any arrests in the case.

Police found 33-year-old Anne Duncan dead along Gose Pike in Boyle County Saturday.

On Friday, state police revealed two cars were seen on the road that night. Investigators say the first car swerved to avoid a person in the road and the second car hit the person.

"The witness said the driver of the passenger car swerved, made an evasive maneuver to avoid the pedestrian," said Trooper Paul Blanton. "They may not have known that the pedestrian was struck but certainly they might be able to provide some information into what the pedestrian was doing prior to the collision."

While WKYT's Victor Puente was at the post a tarp covered pickup truck was dropped off at the post's impound lot. Police would only say it was evidence in a case. They would not confirm or deny if that case was the Danville hit and run. However, State Police have not asked for additional help locating the driver or the vehicle that struck Duncan.

Duncan who is from Michigan, was in Danville for a friend's wedding.
