Members asked to conserve power usage on: Wednesday January 29, 2014

“We’re asking all Big Sandy RECC members to voluntarily conserve or limit energy usage today when our membership will be using the greatest amount of electricity.”
The call for conservation is prompted by another wave of frigid weather that will push up the demand for electricity.
Members can follow these steps to conserve:
• Set thermostats lower than usual, if health permits,
• Postpone using major electric appliances such as stoves, dishwashers and clothes dryers until mid‐day or after 9 p.m., when the demand for electricity decreases, and
• Turn off electric lights and appliances that you do not need or are not using.
Conserving electricity today will help ensure that we have adequate power supplies.
Thank You for your cooperation.
