One man leads police on a chase for close to twenty minutes this afternoon. It started in the Bimble community of Knox County and continued on for 17 miles.

Officials say this car chase was different from the rest. They say most car chases only last about five minutes, but this one lasted more than 15 before 33 year old Anthony Davis was caught.

Anthony Davis's reckless driving caught the attention of a state trooper.

"The subject backed out from the driveway and he spun his tires in a reckless manor and took off and the trooper made an attempt to make a stop on the subject and the subject fled," said Walt Meachum, from Kentucky State Police.

And that's when the chase started. Two state troopers chased Davis for 17 miles, trying to stop him and get him off the road.

"They were coming in towards a school zone and so they were trying to get him to stop, so they were trying to block him from traveling any further and then that's when the two vehicles collided," Meachum explained.

They were at the intersection of Kentucky 11 and Pawnee Drive, near the Bingham Park mobile home community. People in the area say they were not expecting to see that when they came home.

"There was a bunch of cars, cop cars, and a car leaned over the ditch here and i was trying to figure out what happened," said Brian Newman, who saw what happened.

No one was hurt during the chase and only minor damage was done to both vehicles. Davis was arrested and taken to the Knox County Detention Center. Officials say Davis is being faced with more than 10 charges, including a DUI second offense and three counts of wanton endangerment. Police are still investigating.
