The 4th annual Youth Arts Council Exhibition will present the inspiring efforts and creativity of local high school students. This collaborative exhibition between Lexington’s Youth Arts Council, the Living Arts and Science Center (LASC), and the Central Kentucky Youth Orchestra (CKYO) is based on the “Enigma Variation” by 19th century composer Edward Elgar.
Inspired by one of four movements from the Elgar composition, submitted art created by area high school students will be on display at the Singletary Center for one night as part of the premier performance by the CKYO (May 18th).
An exhibition of selected works juried by acclaimed artist/painter Lennon Michalski will remain on display throughout the summer in the LASC’s main gallery.
Find guidelines and entry form at www.youthartscouncil.org or www.lasclex.org.
Deadline for submitting art work is April 23rd.
