BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Bell County School Board has adopted a small property tax increase to pay for school renovations.
Thursday night, the board held a public forum on the proposal and then approved it.
It is called the "recallable nickel." Officials say it will add anywhere from $14 to $52 for most families.
The increase goes into effect in November.
All of the money will go towards facility improvements.
