BELL COUNTY, KY. (WYMT) - Congressman Hal Rogers (R-5th District) met with county officials and business leaders in Bell County on Thursday.
He was part of a legislative forum at the Pine Mountain State Resort Park.
Officials say they discussed the future of coal and the country's budget and debt.
"It's always good to have someone who is in the mix to put things in perspective, you know, we obviously see so much in the media, so to have the appropriations come to your community and kind of summarize and put everything in perspective, so it was very, I think everyone learned something today," said Bell County Judge-Executive Albey Brock.
Officials also discussed predictions for what might happen in Eastern Kentucky after next week's election.
