PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The streets in the Bell County courthouse square could look like brick soon.
It is part of the Main Street Pineville's beautification project for the courthouse square.
They are trying to clean-up downtown and make some changes in hopes of bringing in new businesses. New road signs and flower baskets are already installed. Now they are looking for funding for a project called "asphalt stamping" that makes the road look like bricks.
"The long-term goal is for the city to do our part to clean-up the square and attract new businesses and then hopefully building owners will start to clean their buildings," said Jacob Roan, director of Main Street Pineville.
They got the idea for the roads from Nashville where some roads are stamped to look like bricks.
