MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - Free lunches are now available in Bell County.
The Salvation Army opened "Willy's Diner" in the Middlesboro building.
The diner serves a hot meal every Monday through Friday from Noon to 1:00.
Organizers say everyone is welcome.
"There's a lot of people in the community having a hard time making ends meet. We had a bread line going, but we wanted to do something further than that so we opened the diner to make sure everybody had the opportunity for at least one hot meal a day," said Lt. Jason Quinn.
Salvation Army leaders say they have averaged 30 to 50 people each day since it opened a few weeks ago.
The food is provided through donations.
