PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Water problems have caused the restaurant at Pine Mountain State Resort Park to close in Bell County.

Officials say the recent cold weather caused water leaks and burst pipes at the restaurant.

Crews worked on the problems on Friday but there is no timeline yet on when the repairs will be finished and the restaurant will re-open.

State officials say that hurts financially.

"Like any place, yes, when you're closed when you're normally open, it would hurt. Again, it depends how long this goes," said Gil Lawson, Spokesman for the Kentucky State Parks.

The park lodge and cottages are still open for guests.

Officials say visitors are going to nearby restaurants in Pineville for food while the restaurant is closed.
