Jimmy Rose singing on America's Got Talent (NBC)
BELL Co., Ky. (WYMT) - Bell County's Jimmy Rose sang for America's Got Talent on Tuesday night.
While the judges had mixed reactions, the crowd loved him.
On Wednesday afternoon the preparation began in Pineville's Courthouse Square for the Jimmy Rose watch party.
We had the chance to speak with Rose on the phone prior to the event.
Rose said regardless of the results he is glad to be able to participate.
"You know it's just a great feeling," said Rose. "No matter what I just hope people can look at me as somebody that's chased his dream and this shows you can make things happen if you really work hard and try for it."
Tim Collins is one of many local supporters.
"You know it's really great to see somebody from the area you know that's been a coal miner, that's got a chance and an opportunity," said Collins.
The viewing party included live music by Blake Branscom and Jade Robertson.
Fans said they are anxious, excited and most importantly proud.
