Police say man put needle on playground


Middlesboro Police say Lester Godsey, buried a used needle in the sand at the Fords Woods Park in Middlesboro.

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - A Corbin man faces wanton endangerment charges.

Middlesboro Police say Lester Godsey, 31, buried a used needle in the sand at the Fords Woods Park in Middlesboro.

Police say the needle had been used to consume illegal drugs.

The officer wrote in the arrest citation he watched Godsey bury the needle in the sand at the jungle gym where children play. The officer also wrote "Mr. Godsey showed no concern."

Officers say they dug up the needle and removed it.

Godsey is in the Bell County Detention Center.
