Progress but no solution in ARH/Coventry Health Care negotiations

A decision was not reached today between ARH and Coventry Health Care officials.

A federal judge ordered the two onto negotiations.

After hours of negotiating ARH officials say some progress was made. But no agreement was reached.

As they met behind closed doors they were looking for a solution.

ARH filed an injunction against Coventry Health Care to make them keep paying for ARH services.

That's when the judge ordered them in to negotiations.

If decisions are not made ARH officials say hundreds of Jobs could be lost and patients in eastern Kentucky will have to go somewhere else for health care.

Coventry Health Care officials blame state government for the problem.

The judge did order both parties to federal court Friday for that injunction hearing.

Coventry Health Care has Been ordered to give a 30 day notice to patients before they can stop paying for ARH services.
