Third suspect arrested for robbery of restaurant employee

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - Middlesboro police caught the third person accused of robbing a La Esperanza Mexican Restaurant employee.

Police arrested 19-year-old Jonathon Smith and charged him with robbery and public intoxication.

Police say he was under the influence of drugs at his arrest.

Investigators say last week, Smith, his brother, Josh Allen Smith, and Rachel Farr broke into a restaurant employee's home and stole the cash bag.

The employee told us the trio beat him with a large stick until they got the money.
