An attorney for eight people in Clay County, convicted of vote fraud, is appealing their convictions.
Appeal briefs claim that the trial judge made numerous errors and was biased against the defendants.
In 2010, the eight, which included several county officials, were convicted of scheming to buy votes during elections in 2002, 2004, and 2006.
