One eastern Kentucky community is celebrating a milestone, the one year anniversary of going wet.
On June 21st, 2011, voters in Manchester approved the sale of packaged alcohol in the city limits.
Officials say since then, gas stations and other stores have seen a big increase in sales but restaurants are a different story.
“Our restaurants, they're not having much alcohol sales. It's just the culture and they're not used to sitting down to a meal and drinking a beer. But the packaged stores have been great,” Manchester Mayor George Saylor said.
Somerset, Pineville, and Whitesburg will have alcohol-related votes next Tuesday.
