CLAY Co., Ky. (WYMT) - Renovations at Manchester Memorial Hospital are now complete.
Senator Robert Stivers and Congressman Hal Rogers were present at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the $9.5 million remodeling project.
The hospital now has new rooms for radiology and office space for electrical equipment and air-conditioning units.
Rogers says the expansion of the emergency room and the modernization of the equipment of the whole hospital is nothing short of phenomenal.
"It will create a few new jobs, but the most important thing is it's going to greatly increase the effectiveness of this hospital. For the health care of this region," says Rogers.
Rogers says the good management of the hospital means better care for people in Clay and surrounding counties.
