MANCHESTER, Ky. (WYMT) - The trial of a man accused of killing a Clay County sheriff more than 43 years ago has been delayed.
In May of last year, Oran Brumley was charged with the 1969 murder of 52-year-old Sheriff James "Matt" Sizemore.
Brumley has pleaded not guilty in the case.
Officials say in June of 1969, Sizemore was gunned down while serving warrants on Ephram Creek Road.
Brumley's trial is now set for September 10th.
