Police search for Clay Co. elementary school burglars It's been one week, and Manchester police are still searching for two men that burglarized the Goose Rock Elementary School.

During summer break the hallways of Goose Rock Elementary School normally stay empty, but not this summer.

Surveillance video from the school shows two men in masks walking through the hallways.

The outside camera even shows one of the men's hat, when he reaches to turn the camera around before walking in.

Principal, William Sexton says they got away with 9 computers and a video camera; things that he says the school could not afford to lose.

“They're very important to us in a small rural county, and with funding from the state that has been cut, it's harder to get those,” said Sexton.

The thieves even stopped into several classrooms and went through the teachers desks,

They also broke a desk in order to disconnect the computers from the computer lab used by 3rd through 6th graders.

“It’s pretty bad to think that someone would do this to the children here in this community,” said Sexton.

In just one week students will be back in these hallways, and the principal says students will just have to make do a few items short.

School officials are asking anyone with information to call Manchester Police at 606-598-8411.
