A Clay County man charged with assault will be sentenced in August.
Jeremy Fusner pleaded guilty to an amended second degree assault charge.
He now faces a maximum sentence of seven years in prison.
Fusner was arrested in November of last year after he allegedly beat his mother and then shot Jonathan Lucas and Michael Jones.
Both Lucas and Jones survived the shooting.
