A portion of U.S. 421 was reduced to one lane for a while Thursday after a coal truck tipped over, blocking part of the highway.
It happened in Leslie County, about five miles from the Clay County line.
Police say while crossing into the other lane the truck's back tire slid into the ditch, causing it turn over.
Crews spent much of the day cleaning up the spill.
Both lanes of the roadway are now open.
