Businesses reopened Wednesday morning in Danville after a gas line break forced them to close for hours Tuesday.
Construction workers hit a gas line on Hustonville Road in Danville, which led to evacuations of homes and businesses.
Crews reopned the area around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Technical problems complicated the fix, which usually takes three hours to complete.
This break took seven.
News of the leak reminded many of the massive explosion in San Bruno, California last week.
However, crews who worked this leak say the Danville pipe was a main gas line. The one that exploded in California was a transmission line.
Repair work on the line continued throughout the overnight hours, however no roads had to be closed.
