A woman is fighting for her life after police say she was impaled by a plank fence during a crash in Boyle County.
The crash happened along Quirks Run Road, near Highway 150, not far from the Mercer County line.
The Boyle County Sheriff's Department says 51-year-old Debbie Wilham somehow lost control of her car, causing it to flip into a fence.
Wilham was taken to UK Hospital, where she's now listed in critical condition.
Police are still investigating what caused the crash.
