Prescription medicine taken in pharmacy burglary

An investigation is underway after police say someone broke into a Danville pharmacy through a drive-thru window, and stole prescription medicine.

Danville Police say around 5:15 p.m. Sunday, an employee of a nearby business noticed the drive-thru window of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy, on Cassady Avenue, appeared to have been damaged.

The employee contacted the manager of the pharmacy, who then called police.

Police say a "large quantity" of prescription medicine was taken during the burglary.

So far, police have not made any arrests. They believe the burglary happened sometime Sunday morning.
