DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - With the holidays just around the corner, the Danville Fire Department is asking for your help to make sure every child receives a gift for Christmas.
Firefighters kicked off their annual toy program last week.
However, firefighters say they need $14,000 in donations to help all the children expected to be signed up for the program.
Firefighters have $4,700 on hand, but they say that will only help around 117 children.
Last year, Danville firefighters gave toys to 463 children, and they're expecting to help even more this year.
If you'd like to help, you can mail your donations to the Danville Fire Department, 420 West Main Street, Danville, KY, 40422.
The Danville Fire Department also has more information on its Facebook page.
Firefighters will also be accepting donations of new toys.
