A group of Boyle County missionaries is returning home after being stranded in Haiti since the earthquake there.
The First Baptist Church of Danville missionaries went to Haiti weeks ago to share their faith and help the needy. They were scheduled to return to Kentucky January 15th. However, after the quake the group's travel plans were destroyed. But in a turn of events no one expected the group will return today, on time, thanks to what some are calling divine providence.
The group was able to hitch a ride back to the country on a plane owned by Christian organization "Samaritan's Purse". The plane came to Haiti to drop of supplies, and ended up bringing several Americans back to the country.
