A Central Kentucky adoption agency handled the case of a Tennessee woman who investigators say sent her adopted 7-year-old son, back to Russia.
"Adoption Assistance Incorporated" of Danville conducted "before and after" visits with Tennessee mother Torry Hansen.
She put the child on a flight and sent a note with him, saying he had violent and psychological issues.
The Lexington Herald Leader reports the agency had follow up visits with the family as recent as January, but last month the family broke off contact, and couldn't be reached by emails or numerous phone calls.
Tennessee authorities are investigating the mother, but no charges have been filed.
