Two teenagers were arrested after a police chase early Wednesday.
Danville Police say the teens stole two vehicles in one night.
A little after 5 Wednesday morning, a Danville police officer spotted an SUV with no headlights on. When he ran the plates, the vehicle came back as stolen from Lincoln County.
That's when a low speed pursuit began, which police say never exceeded 50 miles per hour.
Police followed the vehicle to the Junction City Park. By that time, the engine had caught on fire, so police say the teens jumped out of the vehicle.
Police say the 15-year-old driver, and his 16-year-old passenger both tried to ran away, but officers quickly arrested them.
Police say they had to use a taser on the driver. Both teens are from Junction City.
Police say the SUV was the second vehicle the teens stole from Lincoln County that night.
Police credit the arrest to cooperation and good fortune.
Danville Police say the two suspects are facing fleeing and evading, criminal mischief, and receiving stolen property charges in Boyle County, as well as a number of traffic offenses.
They'll also be facing charges in Lincoln County, related to the thefts of those vehicles.
