A woman is facing charges after police found her 3-year old son wandering the streets of Danville.
Graham Jackson spotted the toddler, who was walking alone, after 10 on Tuesday night. Jackson says he followed the young child for about a block on Walnut Street in downtown Danville, when the boy darted out in front of his car, attempting to cross the street. Jackson says that's when he called police. Officers told him they had already been notified and were on their way.
Jackson waited with the toddler until police arrived. Jackson says when he asked the toddler what he was doing, the boy said he just wanted to get a candy bar from the Speedway down the street.
The child's mother, Stephanie Lynn Roth, has been arrested for endangering the welfare of a child. Police say she told them she had left her children with her boyfriend and wasn't home when the incident happened. Police have issued a warrant for that boyfriend's arrest.
