Snow moving eastward across Ky.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Snow is piling up across much of
Kentucky.

There were reports of snow depths up to a half-foot as the snow
moved across the central part of the state at dawn Wednesday,
heading east.

Observers in south-central Kentucky reported 5 inches of snow
with flakes still falling in Hopkinsville and six inches in nearby
Cerulrean.

As dawn neared Wednesday, a winter storm warning was in effect
for a swath of counties from the Tennessee border northward to
Owensboro and Elizabethtown. Another storm warning was posted for
an area farther east that includes Somerset, Jackson and Pikeville.
It was expected to last until nightfall.

A rain andsnow mix was falling near daybreak in Flemingsburg.

Rain had changed over to snow in Lexington by dawn.
