Three people are dead after a violent crash along a central Kentucky road. It happened just outside Junction City, in Boyle County Saturday afternoon.

The Boyle County Fire Department tells 27 NEWSFIRST the crash was a side impact collision between a Mercury model car and a Jeep Cherokee on Stewart's Lane at KY-300. All three people inside the car died.

We're told the driver of the Mercury was 16-year-old Mason Steigerwald. His girlfriend, 16-year-old Mackenzie Weddle and his grandmother, Marie Baker were all killed. Mason and Mackenzie were both sophomores at Boyle County High School.

Monday the school had a makeshift memorial in the main hall to let students write messages in memory of the two students. School officials are making counselors available all day, as this school deals with the sudden loss of not just one but two of its students.

The school is also collecting donations to plant two trees in memory of Mason and Mackenzie on the property.

Arrangements for Mackenzie Weddle will be at Bartle Funeral home in Liberty. The visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00p.m.

Kerr brothers funeral home says the visitation and funeral services for Mason Steigerwald and Marie Baker will be held together at First Baptist Church in Danville. The visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00p.m. The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00a.m.
