A man involved in a hit and run involving a horse will be in court on Monday.
Police say that last month, James Dove was driving his vehicle on Route 1210 in the Martin community of Floyd County when he hit a horse carrying James Chaffins.
Dove allegedly left the scene, leaving Chaffins and his horse severely injured.
The horse suffered two broken legs and had to be euthanized.
Dove is currently out on bond.
