PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) 10pm Update:
Officials with the Floyd County Sheriff's Department tell Mountain News Scottie Bradley was re-captured around 10 Wednesday night in Prestonsburg.
He was arrested without incident.
We are told he is being taken to the Floyd County Jail.
Joyce Cole has lived on West Graham Street in Prestonsburg for 11 years and describes the neighborhood as quiet.
“My neighbors once in a while see one or two policemen, but never that many,” Cole said.
But all that changed Tuesday when police swarmed the neighborhood searching for a man considered extremely dangerous.
“I had a cat on the back porch and it ran in real scared and we knew something was going on. By the time my husband got to the back door, they were gone,” Cole added.
We’re told Scottie Bradley, 31, escaped from deputies Tuesday when he was getting out of a van that was transporting nine other inmates back from court.
“Then we looked outside and saw the police cars around and evidently he came across the street in the back of her house. Probably went to the riverbank or behind the church,” Cole said.
Officials say Bradley was spotted again in Floyd County Wednesday wearing red shorts and a gray t-shirt. He has multiple tattoos on his neck and both arms, including one of a teardrop under his right eye.
State police consider Bradley extremely dangerous. If you see him or know where he is, call state police.
Bradley was put behind bars recently after allegedly robbing a convenience store in McDowell.
