Several dogs suffer burns in Floyd Co. house fire

FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Several dogs in Floyd County are being treated after a house burned Sunday night.

Officials say a house in Reed Branch caught fire around 6:00 p.m.

No people were injured, but several animals were inside at the time.

Officials with Dumas Rescue Group helped bring five dogs in to be treated for first and second degree burns.

They say any help or donations are welcome to pay for vet costs.

"It was difficult to see them. They were scared and terrified so naturally they reacted with terror and trauma," said Tonya Conn with Dumas Rescue.

"It was something that a lot of people probably don't want to see," said Megan Goble also with Dumas Rescue.
