The search is on for a man police say is connected to Frankfort's latest murder.

Frankfort Police have now issued an arrest warrant for 44-year-old Frank Robert Witkowski, of Detroit, Michigan.

Witkowski is wanted for complicity to commit murder.

"Witkowski is described as a white male, 5'11", approximately 200 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. The criminal complaint indicates that Witkowski provided assistance to the individual who actually caused the death," says Major Fred Deaton with Frankfort Police.

40-year-old Obie Murphy was shot to death Monday on Thistlewood Avenue in Frankfort. A second man, 54-year-old Gregory Bell, was also shot but survived.

As for Witkowski, he was questioned by police on Monday and taken to the hospital for minor injuries, but was released. Authorities in Michigan also have warrants out for his arrest for another crime.

"The authorities who issued the warrants refused to extradite, so there were no serveable warrants at that point," says Major Fred Deaton.

Police say they are also searching for another man who is a person of interest in this crime, but didn't have a clear description of that man.

Police are also looking for a possible vehicle connected to the crime. It's a full size van with a green strip and Michigan license plates.

Anyone with information is asked to call Frankfort Crime Stoppers at 502-875-8648. They are offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the two people police are looking for.
