The search is on for a man police say robbed a Frankfort convenience store at gunpoint.

The robbery happened around 11:30 Saturday night at the Speedy Mart on East Main Street.

Police say a man walked into the store with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

After getting an undetermined amount of money, the suspect then took off on foot.

Police say the suspect is a black man, around 5'8" or 5'9", weighing 170 to 180 pounds, with a medium build.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a long sleeved white t-shirt, black pants, a black baseball cap, and a dark colored mask.
