A central Kentucky firefighter faces charges involving child pornography and voyeurism following an investigation by police.
Police arrested 40-year-old Dennis W. Hodge, of Frankfort, Thursday. He is a firefighter with the Frankfort Fire Department.
On Monday, Kentucky State Police say they received a complaint of possible voyeurism involving a juvenile in Franklin County.
After getting a search warrant, police say they seized a computer from a home on Old Georgetown Road. Police say they found child pornography on that computer.
"With the initial finding on this laptop, that gives us enough to continue on with our investigation to prove the statements that we've received and back up the evidence we've gotten up to this point," said Kentucky State Police Trooper Ron Turley.
Police then arrested Hodge around 1 a.m. Thursday at the Catalina Motel in Lexington. Police charged him with voyeurism and possession of matter portraying the sexual performance of a minor.
Court documents claim Hodge videotaped an underage family member showing and changing clothes in his home.
Hodge has been lodged in the Franklin County Detention Center.
Hodge is a lieutenant and a 12 year veteran of the Frankfort Fire Department.
He is scheduled to appear in court October 18 for a pre-trial hearing. His bail has been set at $12,000.
