Workers at animal shelter say they're overcrowded with cats and dogs

A central Kentucky animal shelter has put out an urgent plea for help.

Workers there say they have too many animals to take care of.

The Franklin County Humane Society told us Friday that they have 150 kittens, 80 adult cats, and many dogs at the shelter.

Workers say they need people to come forward to provide foster homes for the animals.

If you'd like to help, you can call the shelter at 502-875-7297. The shelter is at 1041 Kentucky Avenue in Frankfort.
