Today, Kentucky lawmakers are expected to vote on legislation that would strengthen domestic violence laws.
It's called Amanda's Bill and is named in honor of murder victim Amanda Ross.
Investigators say former lawmaker Steve Nunn killed Ross last year, despite a court ordered emergency protection order against him.
The new legislation would require certain domestic violence offenders to wear a GPS electronic monitoring system that would let both police and potential victims know if they get near.
The vote is expected to take place at 2:00 PM.
