A bill to require restaurants to file calorie information on menus was filed Wednesday in Frankfort.
Dozens of people in support of the bill voiced their support during a rally in the Capital Annex.
If passed, restaurants would be required to post how many calories each food item has next to the item on menus and menu boards.
"We're gonna see, when we go through the drive through, we're going to be looking at chicken or a hamburger, and there's going to be one little line there, what's a better choice, if you desire to make it." Denise Harper-Angel, a Louisville Democrat said.
Chain restaurants with at least 20 locations nationwide would be required to post the calorie information if the bill passes.
