A woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a senior citizen went before a judge in Franklin County Friday morning.
Linda Trumbo pleaded not guilty to exploiting 92-year-old Lulu Caldwell. Police say Trumbo also stole more than $50,000 from the elderly woman.
Trumbo has been indicted, but not arrested, in connection with the exploitation charge.
Authorities say Trumbo and her alleged victim live in the same apartment complex in Frankfort.
Police say Trumbo gained Caldwell's trust, then accessed her bank account to finance vacations, pay for expensive meals, and make other purchases.
Following Trumbo's not guilty plea, the judge ordered the woman to stay away from the alleged victim, and to have no other contact with her.
Trumbo had at least ten people in the courtroom to support her during the arraignment.
